I am now very upset about this stupid update that broke far more than it fixed. After a couple of cycles of searching, finding, (attempting to) download the update, it goes back to displaying the error code above. When it does show an update, I try to download it and just as it appears to complete it goes back to searching for updates. It keeps alternating between showing my computer as up to date or showing an update available. I have attempted, multiple times, to update since I performed the system restore (which did not solve any of my problems).
I'm a little confused by that, because I went back a build, but I guess maybe that just made the current one unavailable?Īnyway, I really want Purble Place back, because my kids really like it. I've also tried to look for updates to Windows again, and it tells me that my computer is up to date. I tried the troubleshooter, and all it says is "incompatible program." I tried reverting to an earlier build, and they once againĪppear in my list of programs, but they still won't run. They weren't in my start menu, and they weren't listed in "All Apps." I could find them by using file Explorer, but clicking on the exe file did nothing. Then, it was like the games didn't exist. They continued to work fine, until the last update. They worked great, and my kids really enjoyed playing Purble Place. I installed Purble Place, as well as an older version of solitaire, minesweeper, and maj jhong on my Surface Pro 2 while it was running Windows 8.1.
